Cambodia’s climate is warm, humid and tropical. The
maximum temperature ranges between 27.5 and 29.5degrees Celsius
(between 82 and 86 degrees Fahrenheit). April is the warmest month. The
minimum temperature ranges between 24 and 26.5 degrees Celsius (75 and
81 degrees Fahrenheit). December is the coolest month. These
temperatures vary throughout the country, particularly in the plateau
and mountainous regions. The average temperature of Bokor Mountain, for
example, is 20 degrees Celsius (68 degrees Fahrenheit). Accordingly,
compared to Africa, Middle East or some regions to Asia, Cambodia’s
climate is neither too warm nor too cool. This is advantageous for
tourism because from one season to another, the temperate, on average,
changes lees than 4 degrees Celsius.
Based
on the monsoon, Cambodia has two seasons the dry season and the rainy
season. The dry season runs from November through October, when the
wind blows from the sea, bringing with it rains. We call this the
southwestern monsoon. The two seasons are not regular, however. They
often vary in different parts of the country, as well as from year to
year.
